New Truth Project Group
Pastor Tom is forming a new group. The first meeting will be held on Sunday, October 11, at 6:00 p.m. If you want to join this group please contact Pastor Tom at 427-9371.

It’s In The House
This week we kick off our campaign to finish the new facility. Please read carefully the letter that you receive early next week and begin to ask the Lord what you have in your house that could help to raise the funds necessary.

If you were unable to attend on Sunday, September 20, please order a CD of the message. We are entering a very crucial time in the completion of our new building and invite everyone to be part of one last giving campaign to finish the project. If you are part of Christian Chapel or a friend of the ministry you need to hear this message.

To order a CD, either fill out the sheet at the sound booth or call 427-9371.

Tis The Season To Be Cautious
With the holidays approaching we are entering another season that visits about this time every year – flu season. With this in mind and with the growing activity of H1N1 flu virus we all need to become aware of how these viruses spread and exercise proper precautions to keep from spreading the flu when we gather as the body of Christ.

At a minimum we ask everyone to be mindful of the following precautions:
1. If a child presents any symptoms like fever, coughs, runny noses, etc., please allow them to rest at home until the illness has passed. Our policy has been to try to avoid spreading illness by limiting exposure of those who are sick with those who are well. Please be mindful of this courtesy to others.
2. When greeting others at church it may help to avoid shaking hands during the next few months. At the very least, remember to wash your hands as often as possible and make use of the hand sanitizers we have made available throughout the facility.
3. If you have a fever or other symptoms of the flu, you have my permission to rest at home and trust God for healing. If you need prayer please contact the office and we will visit you at home.

While I don’t believe there is any reason to panic or adopt extreme measures, I do think it is prudent to take simple precautions that will limit the spread of this particular seasonal gift.

Our Missional Focus
Missional Focus is that group or segment of local society where a church decides to focus the majority of its efforts and funds in evangelism. Having a focus enables a church to be effective in connecting with and reaching more unchurched people. It does not prevent individual attendees from reaching out to their own neighbors, friends, family, etc., nor does it mean the church will turn away someone outside of that focus group.

Christian Chapel has decided to focus on three specific groups:
Families with children (age 0-18).
Military families with children (age 0-18)
Families with difficulties (marital, child-rearing, finances, etc.)
